You might think that a Beachbody coach has all their fitness ducks in a row. They never miss a workout. They eat perfectly all the time. Well, that just isn’t true!
Being a Beachbody coach is about having a big heart and modeling great lifestyle choices. You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t even have to be at your goal weight.
You can be in the middle of your journey to amazing health. Coaches in this discipline are naturally encouraging, and they know how to stick with it day in and day out. They have a vulnerability that helps them relate to people who want to improve their health.
Not everyone who comes to Beachbody classes is in optimal health. With time and consistent effort, they achieve incredible health.
But everyone has to start somewhere. There are no shortcuts to a healthy body. You could miss a few workouts. You could eat a few more hamburgers than you should. But overall, you have to stick with great eating habits and exercise well.
A Beachbody coach is there to help other people on their journey. They can coach beginners who are trying to get their quality of life back, people in the middle of the journey, and advanced participants who need a workout challenge.
Who are Beachbody coaches? They don’t necessarily have a fitness background. They are people who always want to improve. Every day is a new challenge, and part of the challenge is consistency.
We can all improve at consistency. A Beachbody coach has to be a great example of consistency and a person who overcomes challenges at the same time. It’s not just getting up and doing the same thing every day.
It’s consistently improving. It’s consistently showing up on days when that’s hard to do. And it might be hard for different reasons every time. So you have to love a challenge to be a Beachbody coach.
Beachbody coaches can come from a fitness background, but they don’t have to. That’s not to discount the experience they may have! Whether it’s dance or gymnastics, you can bring your fitness experience to your Beachbody coaching practice.
Beachbody coaches have a level of vulnerability. They can speak honestly about their shortcomings in pursuit of an amazing body. We all have them!
This honest vulnerability is very important. It helps them connect and share an authentic experience with those they teach.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to be a Beachbody coach, you might be right! In addition to the qualities we discussed, you’ve got to be a solid learner and a hard worker. If you want to make a business out of your coaching, you don’t have to be a strong salesperson.
