As much as we’d like to try — there’s no way for us to stop time.

Aging while inevitable, can also be beautiful. We grow wiser, smarter, and experience life as it happens to us. And while aging can be inevitable, there are ways for us to look younger than we are. Here’s how to feel your age, but look younger (without plastic surgery).

1. Exercise

I know, I know. You probably saw this tip coming from a mile away, but that’s just a clear indicator that you know working out and moving your body is good for your body and your health. When you take the time and put forth the effort to keep your body fit and in check, you will appear younger and healthier. Prioritizing your body and your health is a clear way to appear younger without plastic surgery. When you feel good about your appearance and you feel healthy, feelings of confidence are linked to appearing younger and more youthful. Figure out an exercise regimen that makes sense for your lifestyle and your body.

2. Drink Plenty of Water

Staying hydrated is one of the best ways we can take care of our bodies and our health. Staying hydrated is linked to having clearer skin and clearer skin will help you appear younger and youthful. Making sure you’re getting enough water throughout the day will not only give you internal health benefits but external ones, as well.

3. Posture

Making sure you have good posture is essential to appearing youthful. We spend so much time hunched over at our desks at work or hovering over our phones. Being mindful of your posture will not only improve your overall appearance but having good posture is linked to confidence, as well.

4. Wear Sunscreen

It’s time to start adding sunscreen to your daily routine if you haven’t already. To help with skincare, apply some every day to your face, visible skin, and hands. UV exposure accelerates wrinkles, and age spots, and can make skin coarse. Wearing sunscreen prevents external aging effects.

5. Skincare

Going along with the sunscreen point above, making sure you’re taking care of skin is essential to appearing more youthful in the process of naturally aging. Products such as sunscreen, vitamin C serum, and other skincare products you like for your skin can help prevent the appearance of wrinkles and signs of aging. Make sure to also add hydrating moisturizers to your skincare routine, keeping your skin hydrated and glowy. If you want professional guidance, consult with a dermatologist.

6. Find Foods That’ll Make You Glow

There are certain foods out there that contain antioxidants that can give your skin a natural glow. Foods such as blueberries, pomegranates, blackberries, and cranberries are rich in antioxidants. Avoid foods with loads of processed chemicals and sugars. Limiting the sugar and processed foods you eat can help you appear youthful naturally.

7. Get Enough Sleep

Another way to appear naturally youthful is to make sure you’re getting enough sleep each night. When we don’t get enough sleep, dark circles can appear under our eyes, our energy is diminished, thus making us appear older and tired. When you get enough sleep, there’s less chance of dark circles underneath the eyes and our energy will be heightened due to a good night’s sleep every night. Maintaining a healthy sleep schedule is essential.

By following these 7 tips, you will appear more youthful in a natural way. There’s no need for plastic surgery when these tips exist, helping us feel better internally and externally. Prioritize yourself and your body and you will reap the benefits!
